Two of Australia’s heavyweight public relations practitioners have teamed up at Taurus, the Sydney-based Integrated Marketing, Public Relations and Communications agency.
Taurus CEO, Sharon Williams – who earlier this year was named one of the top 10 women entrepreneurs in Australia – announced today the company was proud to welcome highly acclaimed communications strategist, Ian Dose to their team as a Senior Consultant.
The veteran journalist is best known for heading up the communications effort that successfully bid for the 2000 Sydney Olympics and his numerous Government roles as a senior advisor to various Ministers as well as General Manager of Corporate Relations at the RTA (now named Roads and Maritime Services).
“Ian has successfully run his own company (Ian Dose Public Relations Counsel Pty Ltd) for a number of years and his client base extended across corporate heavyweights such as Qantas as well as major sporting bodies,” explained Sharon. In addition, Ian helped establish the acclaimed Black Dog Institute, an organisation that assists people with mood disorders such as depression and bipolar.
He brings more than 20 years of domestic and international experience across communication and marketing working with some of the world’s leading organisations and brands. His long track record of success working with large corporate clients and Government will help Taurus strengthen its position as a leading integrated marketing and public relations agency.
Asked about his appointment, Ian said the opportunity to join the Taurus team and work closely with a professional of Sharon’s standing had convinced him that it was a move that would raise the bar to deliver the highest and best service to clients.
