Taurus Marketing teams up with Good Beginnings to support the Great Tribal Chase

the Great Tribal Chase

Following the success of campaigns such as Clean Up Australia and Jesus All About Life, Taurus has offered support to national children’s charity Good Beginnings Australia to help promote The Great Tribal Chase.

Not all Australian children grow up safe, happy and healthy. Good Beginnings is a national children’s charity providing early intervention and practical parenting programs for disadvantaged children and their families, so that every Australian child has the opportunity for a good beginning in life.

Over $50,000 was raised by 1,136 official competitors to benefit Australian children in vulnerable communities. For every $10 fundraised, tribe members received ONE entry into the draw to win the amazing Hyundai i40 valued at over $38,000!

Much like the hit TV show The Amazing Race, this urban adventure saw tribal teams from across Sydney in May – armed with a map of Sydney CBD and foreshore, a clue sheet and a mobile phone – battle it out in a friendly rivalry across city streets, attempting to solve clues to find checkpoints around iconic Sydney locations.

Good Beginnings Australia’s CEO, Jayne Meyer Tucker comments, ‘It was a fun-filled, energetic day and even before the race started people were enjoying themselves, we couldn’t have done it without all the fantastic support we got from volunteers and sponsors and the participants themselves. The results were more than we ever anticipated.”

The money raised will provide Good Beginnings with resources to implement and maintain free early intervention and practical parenting programs for children and their families in need. There are over 160 programs running across Australia today.

Taurus CEO Sharon Williams comments, “Supporting Good Beginnings and this fun event to help Aussie kids was such a joy”
