Taurus began in 1995 when founder Sharon Williams was personally chosen by Tech Entrepreneur Peter Kazacos, former CEO of The KAZ Group to help build the KAZ brand into the largest IT services company in Australia. Peter sought and selected Sharon personally from her international reputation with Global Tech Start up and IBM Business Partner Synon Inc. Working together with Peter and the Directors directly, through acquisitions, KAZ became the most successful IT IPO float of the year in 2003 when the company sold for $340m.
Based on this success, referrals to our team grew and while our sweet spot remains B2B tech companies, as our long term clients and captains of industry have branched into other sectors, so have we! We’ve had extraordinary wins with B2C, consumer, NFP, professional services and education and run Australia’s largest community campaigns too. The Taurus team divided their approach to the awards into various strategies: Profiling the organisation itself, the CEO Serafina and those nominees for the awards. The results were outstanding and all parties worked together as a team. The nominees assisted with their own story and were profiled (some for the first time) in mainstream media on broadcast, radio and mainline dailies. The drip of news coverage ran for six months leading up to the event. On the night of the awards, journalists were invited to cover the breaking news when Greg Norman was announced as the Australian of the Year 2015.
